Who we are
The website seoforge.io (the “tool”) is published by weclix, sole proprietor (entrepreneur individuel, France), reachable at contact@seoforge.io. weclix is the data controller for the personal data collected through this site, within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What data do we collect?
Free audit (no account): when you submit a URL to audit, we process that URL together with your IP address (used only to limit abuse and the number of checks per IP). The audit result is linked to that IP for as long as needed for you to view it, then kept in anonymized form for statistical purposes.
Account creation: if you create an account (to track a site, keywords, or subscribe to a paid plan), we collect your email address and password (stored encrypted). This information is only used to operate your account area.
Payment: payments are processed directly by our provider Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number on our servers.
Browsing: like most websites, we use essential cookies (signing in to your account) and, with your consent, audience-measurement cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used and improve it.
Why do we collect this data?
- Providing the SEO audit service and related features (rank tracking, PDF export…) — performance of our contract with you;
- Managing your account and subscription billing;
- Responding to requests sent to contact@seoforge.io;
- Measuring site audience and improving it, with your consent;
- Preventing abuse (limiting the number of audits per IP) — legitimate interest.
Who has access to this data?
Your data is never sold. It may be shared with the following processors, strictly to the extent needed to run the service:
- Hostinger — hosting of the site and database;
- Stripe — payment processing;
- Google — audience measurement (Analytics), technical performance checks (PageSpeed Insights) and, where applicable, ad delivery (Google AdSense);
- DataForSEO — technical provider used to check your keywords’ Google rankings (no personal data about you is shared with them, only the keyword and the tracked site’s URL).
If Google ads are displayed on the site, Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.
How long do we keep your data?
- User account and related data (tracked sites, keywords, audit history): for the lifetime of your account, then deleted within a reasonable period after closure;
- Audits run without an account: a few months, then anonymized;
- IP address (anti-abuse): a few days, for the time needed to enforce check limits.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and port your personal data. You can exercise these rights at any time by writing to contact@seoforge.io. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (in France, the CNIL) if you believe your rights are not being respected.
Cookies
Cookies strictly necessary for the site to function (signing in to your account) are set automatically. Audience-measurement and advertising cookies are only set after you consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
